An Index About the Rich in Holy Scriptures.

Peaceful Greetings to the Reader:

Very important to note that the word for “godly” in Hebrew is Sadiq and it means “the righteous” “the trustworthy” “the people of God” or “the God fearing”. New Living Translation decided they would use the term god with the Greek suffix “ly” meaning “like” to define Sadiq. But there is none like unto God.

Proverbs 30:9 NLT ۩ – For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, “Who is the LORD?” And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name.

Matthew 19:24 NLT – 16 Someone came to Jesus with this question: “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” 17 “Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question—if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.” 18 “Which ones?” the man asked. And Jesus replied: “‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. 19 Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ” 20 “I’ve obeyed all these commandments,” the young man replied. “What else must I do?” 21 Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 22 But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions. 23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. 24 I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” 25 The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked. 26 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.” ~ Surahtul Dhariyat (51) Ayat 19, Sahih International – http://quran.com/51

There is the rent, and the other rent.

Peaceful Greetings to the Reader:

Recent events are prompting that we be concerned about “Rent”. Rent has gone up in some places 100%. A man and wife in Florida paying $3400 was informed that rent would be increasing to $6800. That really is staggering. Does the landowner have the right to drastically adjust the price like that? Is it ethical? Is it moral? Has this already happened in the past in another civilization?

There is the rent we owe the landowner, and there is the rent everyone owes God.

Examine the charges brought against the Children of Israel during the Ministry of Prophet Isaiah (epbuh). Everything didn’t always go perfectly, and throughout the entire chronology of the Bible the Israelites broke, then ratified, broke, ratified…on and on, the Covenant with God. So it didn’t always go smoothly and there are some powerful lessons that we can glean from this of what to do and what not to do.

When we are witnessing to events taking place in nature of Citrus Greening, Droughts, Plagues (there was a Locust Plague in East Africa just last year), Periods of Heavy Tornadoes…we have to think perhaps God is not happy with us on Earth. We not only have to try to appease His Anger, but also try to avoid things, taken from events of the past, in the Holy Scriptures that would make worse that Anger from the Lord. We always have to study the Holy Scriptures from that perspective, in addition, to the perspective of, “What are my God-Given Rights?”. What were some of Isaiah’s (epbuh) other charges from the Lord against the Children of Israel?

“8 Woe to you who add house to house
and join field to field
until no place is left
and you live alone in the land.
9 I heard the LORD of Hosts declare:
“Surely many houses will become desolate,
great mansions left unoccupied.
10 For ten acres of vineyard
will yield but a bath of wine,a
and a homer of seed
only an ephah of grain.b””
~ Isaiah 5:8 BSB Version

8 What sorrow for you who buy up house after house and field after field,
until everyone is evicted and you live alone in the land.
9 But I have heard the LORD of Heaven’s Armies
swear a solemn oath:
“Many houses will stand deserted;
even beautiful mansions will be empty.
10 Ten acres.a of vineyard will not produce even six gallons.b of wine.
Ten baskets of seed will yield only one basket.c of grain.”
~ Isaiah 5:8 NLT Version

Please click these 2 YouTube links I think one is CBS News and the other is NBC News of very recent reports on the staggering trend of rent increases across the US.

Rent hiked 55% in Florida in one year. https://youtu.be/ra6fREIBt7E

In this news clip guy says “it (rent) was 3.5 thousand and now it is 6.8 thousand.” We have been hearing 50% increase but that is not 50% that is 100% increase in rent when it doubles. https://youtu.be/sFLBGouriQo

What is another Ancient Right from the Garden of Eden (that is tied to the last right mentioned)? First blog here: https://workandtheotherwork.wordpress.com/2018/10/18/what-is-an-ancient-right-from-the-garden-of-eden/

References:

4 “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. 5 “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” ~ Genesis 3 of Holy Bible;

“Then began Satan to whisper suggestions to them, bringing openly before their minds all their shame that was hidden from them (before): he said: “Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live for ever.”” ~ Surahtul Araf Ayat 20

This is going to seem so obvious that you would think it an insignificant observation. But, another ancient right from the Garden of Eden, that is tied to the last right mentioned in previous blog post, is the right for men to be men, and for women to be women.

But when a few things are factored in the importance of this ancient right will take on more substance. The factors are:

1. The evil one was not only an enemy to man and woman, but was an enemy to the natures of men and women, as well. Therefore assaults have been made on the natures and traits of men and women since the Garden of Eden. This is evident in the argument that it posed to make Adam and Eve (as) to make them dissatisfied with simply being humans (or man and woman) by the statement, “The Lord only forbids you this tree lest ye should become angels or gods (in the Arabic the word used for angels was clear, “malakieeni”, and the word for gods is “khalidun” which actually means, “beings that live forever”. But, in the Bible the word “gods” was used.).” Adam and Eve (as) obviously already had eternal life. So that cannot be the only context of “khalidun” in the Arabic text. We can get the idea when the Bible (Kitab) is consulted, and see the translation from the Hebrew. The Bibe expands our understanding of “khalidun” in this context to “gods”. So, it was trying to make them dissatisfied with simply being a man and woman, or humans. But not only was that a tactic, but also the alteration of the natures of men and women that is evident as we move down the Holy Scriptures to the story of Prophet Lot (as) who was sent to Sodom and Gomorrah.

2. Being treated as a host or sustainer in the seen and unseen would humbly make a person appreciate simply being a man or a woman. God has many qualities and duties that He performs as Master of all creation.

3. The people (created beings) of Paradise were/are beautiful. It has been described that a messenger of God once said that the women (and we would have to assume it is also true for the men of Paradise that would be suitors of women of Paradise, and women who returned to Paradise)…that the women of Paradise are such that each time they are looked at they are more beautiful than the last time that the same eyes beheld them. That beauty obviously is in reference to outer (physical), inner (spiritual), works, righteousness, productivity, faith, etc.

4. There are rare natures, qualities and traits of men and women that stem from the Garden of Eden. This is evident just as we do not behold the fruits, trees and foliage, mansions, pure unadulterated flowing waters, pure and holy drinks, etc, of Paradise. By this it can be deduced that there are natures, qualities and traits of men and women that are rare on Earth?

5. While many are going after amassing vast treasures on Earth (And some do so for the purpose of helping others, in addition to themselves. And clearly we must earn livings and be productive to fulfill obligations and engagements), but, that God Himself has declared the highest attainment for humans is to return to Paradise and become people of the Garden. That is what God said.

So now it can be seen why another Ancient Right from the Garden of Eden was for men to be men, and for women to be women. Though, it seems obvious, it really isn’t in today’s world.

Why testify about God and His Words?

k10

Click any of the images below to enlarge them for better reading.

Why testify? Mainly so that I don’t get cursed by God. Something that He said he would do in the Book of Malachi and in the Holy Quran. I reference these passages at the end of this blog post. Although I do not consider myself a Levite Priest or even really a scholar, I take what knowledge I have and wish to share and share some of it. Sometimes more than I intended to…literally some gems I don’t want to share. But, again God despises that type of thing. Even if all you have time for is to share a Proverb of Solomon, then do it. A Proverb has to be the shortest, most compact, but high in power verses that could be shared. So, it is quick but concentrated Wisdom, and thus takes little time to share. Actually I am doing it approximately 90% (percentage obviously has no impact on the Scales) for the salvation of my soul. When your own soul is a part of the concern you would be careful to try say what is right.

Surahtul Iqra
[96:3]
Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-

Surahtul Asr
[103:1]
By (the Token of) Time (through the ages),
[103:2]
Verily Man is in loss,
[103:3]
Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.

Surahtul Qalam
[68:1]
Nun. By the Pen and the (Record) which (men) write,-
[68:2]
Thou art not, by the Grace of thy Lord, mad or possessed.
[68:3]
Nay, verily for thee is a Reward unfailing:
[68:4]
And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character.
[68:5]
Soon wilt thou see, and they will see,
[68:6]
Which of you is afflicted with madness.

Surahtul Maidah Ayat 66-69
[5:66]
If only they had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course: but many of them follow a course that is evil.
[5:67]
O Messenger. proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.
[5:68]
Say: “O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord.” It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.
[5:69]
Those who believe (in the Qur’an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

Surahtul Nisa Ayat 85 and Power of Suggestions
[4:85]
Whoever recommends and helps a good cause becomes a partner therein: And whoever recommends and helps an evil cause, shares in its burden: And God hath power over all things.

Gospel (or Injeel) of the Messiah related by Matthew
Matthew 13:52 NLT
52 Then he added, “Every teacher of religious law who has become a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a person who brings out of the storehouse the new teachings as well as the old.”
Matthew 13:12 NLT
12 To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.

Two sets of passages mentioned in first paragraph, in addition to graphic above in black. Critical to why a person should testify.

Holy Bible Book of Malachi:

Malachi 2
1 “Listen, you priests—this command is for you! 2 Listen to me and make up your minds to honor my name,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “or I will bring a terrible curse against you. I will curse even the blessings you receive. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you have not taken my warning to heart. 3 I will punish your descendants and splatter your faces with the manure from your festival sacrifices, and I will throw you on the manure pile. 4 Then at last you will know it was I who sent you this warning so that my covenant with the Levites can continue,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. 5 “The purpose of my covenant with the Levites was to bring life and peace, and that is what I gave them. This required reverence from them, and they greatly revered me and stood in awe of my name. 6 They passed on to the people the truth of the instructions they received from me. They did not lie or cheat; they walked with me, living good and righteous lives, and they turned many from lives of sin. 7 “The words of a priest’s lips should preserve knowledge of God, and people should go to him for instruction, for the priest is the messenger of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. 8 But you priests have left God’s paths. Your instructions have caused many to stumble into sin. You have corrupted the covenant I made with the Levites,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. 9 “So I have made you despised and humiliated in the eyes of all the people. For you have not obeyed me but have shown favoritism in the way you carry out my instructions.” 10 Are we not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God? Then why do we betray each other, violating the covenant of our ancestors?

Holy Quran:

HQ 2:140
Or do ye say that Abraham, Ismail Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes were Jews or Christians? Say: Do ye know better than God. Ah! who is more unjust than those who conceal the testimony they have from God. but God is not unmindful of what ye do!
HQ 2:159
Those who conceal the clear (Signs) We have sent down, and the Guidance, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book,-on them shall be God’s curse, and the curse of those entitled to curse,-
HQ 2:160
Except those who repent and make amends and openly declare (the Truth): To them I turn; for I am Oft-returning, Most Merciful.

In addition in graphic below, God reminds us that through the remembrance of Him; and through reminding others of Him, that it can be a summons of Him to the individuals circumstances to remove a blockage or remove an obstruction. It does not have to be a military expedition. It could be unseen forces, bad luck, chronic misfortunes, epidemic, natural disasters, health issues, financial troubles and woes, unhappiness and sadness, loss of freedom, etc.
